Who we are

Diamond Academy is a kindergarten and primary school situated in Transview Estate (Opposite Shalom Hospital) in Kenya. The premise is situated in a serene residential area and provides a conducive learning environment for learners. Our doors opened for learning on the 3rd of May 2010 as a kindergarten in a home situated in Senior Staff Estate, Athi River. From humble beginnings of a student population of 11 children, the school has now grown to more than 100 students from Kindergarten to Standard 7. Diamond Academy is a Christian School that aims at preparing children to live successful and victorious lives as outlined in the Scriptures. We believe and see each child as having been born with a God given passion, vision, dream or purpose. Scriptural success is not wholly defined by how well a child performs in a given sphere, but how true he or she is being to the purpose that God has put in that child's heart. Diamond Academy therefore seeks to help each child explore as many possibilities with the help of the teacher.

Our Vision

Our vision is built around the truth that it is only in having a relationship with God Our Father that each child will be able to fulfill the purpose for which he or she was created. With the teacher as the guide, we help students discover and develop their gifts and take on life's calling and to prepare them for works of service (Ephesians 4:1, 12). Each child will be encouraged to pursue a relationship with Christ as this is the only way to ensure effective learning.

Our origins

Diamond Academy is a Christian School that aims at preparing children to live successful and victorious lives as outlined in the Scriptures click Here. Our goal is to present God's word to every child and allow them the opportunity to consider having a relationship with Jesus and to nuture this relationship on a day to day basis. This is done in a way that is clear and concise, yet understands and accepts that the student population is diverse when it comes to spiritual orientation and background. We present the Bible stories and teachings in animated and exciting ways using different methods to enable the learners to grasp and remember all that they are taught.

Our Mission

We at Diamond Academy view the teacher as a guide who encourages exploration, discovery, research, and problem solving as a vital part of the learning process. Exposure to a variety of extra-curricular activities will help the children explore and discover some of their talents that may not have been given room in the co-curricular activities. Diamond Academy believes that a stable and sure foundation in academics is vital so as to allow the children to launch out with confidence. We at Diamond Academy believe that true success in the lives of the learners is measured by various parameters. These parameters include a thriving relationship with God and the community coupled with excellence in academics and continuous growth in their gifting. To be able to utilize these skills, knowledge and gifts successfully, Diamond Academy aims at nurturing excellence in character, with Christ as our perfect example. Our success will be measured by the lives of the children we have a privilege of caring for, loving, mentoring and discipling. We believe that by maintaining high standards in all areas, we offer service with excellence.

Admission

Steps to admission.

1 Take a tour of Diamond Academy

One of the best ways to get a sense of our excellent academics, our helpful, dedicated staff, and our students is to pay us a visit. Our doors are open to prospective parents to tour our facilities from Monday to Friday from 7.30am-4.00pm and Saturdays from 8.00am-1.00pm.

2 Expression of interest

We request that you fill in a prospective parents form as the next step to admission. This form shall be filled after taking a tour of the school

3 Schedule an interview for your child

An interview that helps establish what concepts your child has already covered is issued to all students wishing to join Diamond Academy. Kindly schedule an interview for your child with the school.

4 Letter of admission and acceptance card

A letter of admission and application form shall be issued to successful applicants. Please return the application form together with the booking fees within the time period indicated in the admission letter.

Academics

We have kindergarten and primary education.

Kindergarten

Diamond Academy recognizes the expectations set for Standard 1 children and seeks to prepare all kindergarten children in a gradual manner towards this end.

Primary School

Diamond Academy has a new primary school block with enough classrooms to go up to class 8. As of August 2018, intake upto class 7 is on going.

Extra - Curricular

We offer a wide range of activities

Music

We offer drums, piano, guitar, violin, and recorder lessons. These are taught by International Maestro. Musical performances are organized at the end of the term, giving an opportunity to showcase talents.

Sports

It is important that children develop their motor skills as they grow. DA offers a variety of sports activities such as soccer academy, skating and swimming.

Drama and Poetry

Through drama and poetry children develop better dictation, stage presence and confidence. All children are encouraged to participate in school plays held every term.

Field Trips

Our field trips allow the children to review what is taught in theory with real world experiences. We visit areas that are related to the general topic for each term.
